Our client is a highly regarded organisation with a substantial presence in the world of banking. They are deeply committed to their operational excellence and provide a robust platform for professionals to contribute to significant financial activities. On their behalf we are looking for a Senior Manager - Domestic Credit for a crucial responsibility focused on the initial appraisal of credit requests for their non-retail, domestic customer base. This senior role requires ensuring all submissions meet rigorous professional criteria and established risk policies. The role also extends to offering vital technical and guidance support to their related entities concerning various credit-related subjects, such as information sharing, procedural advice, and credit evaluations.

As Senior Manager, you will conduct thorough analyses of credit proposals, assessing the creditworthiness and feasibility of borrowers and projects through a comprehensive review of business data, financial statements, and feasibility studies. Your recommendations will be key in approving or declining credit applications based on the borrower's creditworthiness, facility structure, and compliance with bank policies. You will also be responsible for reviewing client risk assessment reports from international branches, taking appropriate action as needed, and ensuring all business areas comply with credit conditions and covenants. A critical part of your role will be determining and updating correct obligatory Risk Ratings using the Moody’s Risk Analysis system, ensuring they accurately reflect the current risk profile of each borrower.

To excel in this position, our client requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Information Technology, with an MBA or equivalent banking-related training being a plus. You should have at least 10 years of experience in a major bank in a corporate or risk function, specifically in financial analysis, credit assessment, financial packaging, and structuring credit facilities, coupled with excellent knowledge of banking products and services. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting and financial analysis, good quantitative financial modelling, and an adequate understanding of economic theory and principles are essential. Experience with risk concepts, banking operations, pertinent regulatory requirements, International Accounting Standards, and credit risk methodologies is also highly valued.

If you're ready for a challenging role where your expertise will directly contribute to domestic credit operations, send your resume to Aly Badran at aly.badran@ap-executive.com
